After more than a year and a half of work and creativity, we are proud to officially launch the Lifesaving Society’s first children’s book, written by Natacha Bouthillier and illustrated by Marc Chouinard.

Perhaps her zodiac sign, Pisces, explains her interest... or maybe not at all! One thing is certain: Natacha Bouthillier loves cooling off in all bodies of water, especially the sea. When the time came to install a pool in her own backyard, she was already a mother… Water safety and drowning prevention immediately became paramount to her.

One day, while watching the news on TV, she heard a terrible story: a young child had drowned. Her heart sank. She imagined experiencing such a tragedy and immediately wondered what she could do to help prevent such a nightmare from happening again.

A passionate reader who had discovered the joy of writing through publishing children’s novels, she had an idea: to write a story for young swimmers.

That’s how she created On se jette à l'eau. Later, she approached the Lifesaving Society to propose her project. How thrilled she was to receive a positive response and to know that this playful story would come to life! Ready to take the plunge?
