SAFETY AUDITS FOR AQUATIC FACILITIES

Following a visit to your swimming area, our experts will produce a report aimed at optimizing its operation and safety, whether it is a pool, wading pool, beach, or water park.

The Lifesaving Society's Aquatic Safety Audit is a service designed to help bathing area owners/operators remain proactive in reducing the risk of drowning and incidents.

The aim of an aquatic safety audit is to optimize the safety of bathing area users and the staff who operate and supervise them.

A bathing site audit consists of an exhaustive verification of the bathing site, or of a particular aspect of it, to validate its compliance with governmental regulations.

SURVEILLANCE AUDIT : IRREGULAR OR WAVE POOL

Does the design of your pool pose challenges for lifeguarding? Are low walls or reflections obstructing the surveillance team's visibility of the pool floor?

Our audit will enable us to validate the lifeguarding and rescue organization of your swimming area, and particularly, the positioning of your teams around the pool, as well as the coverage of 100% of the pool.

MYSTERY AUDIT

Mystery auditing is ideal for assessing the quality of your lifeguarding. It will give you an assessment of how well you have mastered the surveillance and rescue organization plan you have put in place. A visit report will enable you to confirm the quality of surveillance or identify areas for improvement.

To request an aquatic safety audit

Customers requesting an aquatic safety audit enter a contract with the Lifesaving Society. The contract stipulates the scope of the audit, and the type of report required. Fees vary according to these and other variables.

The following types of audits are available:

  • Compliance of your pool and beach with the requirements of the new Code de sécurité, Chapter IX - Lieu de baignade
  • Emergency measures: assessment of your lifeguard teams' mastery of the emergency plan, based on the National Lifeguard Standard.
  • Rescue and surveillance organizational plan (POSS) for regular or irregular pools, including wave pools
  • Storage of cleaning products (WHMIS 2015)

For a free consultation on the scope of the audit you wish to carry out, make an appointment with one of our consultants: alerte@sauvetage.qc.ca
