Emergency Water Responder
DESCRIPTION
The "EMERGENCY WATER RESPONDER" certification from the Société de sauvetage challenges candidates both physically and mentally. Judgment, knowledge, skills, and physical fitness – the four pillars of aquatic rescue – form the foundation of this training. The course content is based on the Bronze level certifications. This training is intended for current or future emergency water responders or other professionals in aquatic rescue. Candidates acquire essential problem-solving and assessment skills to make sound decisions in, on, and around the water. Work is always conducted as part of a team.
The EMERGENCY WATER RESPONDER course is the foundational training for professional aquatic rescue and meets the applicable NFPA 1006 & 1670 standards.
Training Modalities
This training is primarily aimed at marine firefighters. It is valid for a period of 3 years. After this period, a recertification exam must be passed.
Instructors from the Lifesaving Society are the qualified individuals to deliver this program.
