TEAM QUEBEC MANAGER

The Team Quebec Manager is responsible for managing the logistics of training camps and lifesaving sport competitions in which Team Quebec athletes will participate. He reports to the Lifesaving Sport Coordinator and must respect all the conditions set out in the Lifesaving Society’s mandate.

CONDITIONS

  • The Team Manager position is a 2-year term.
  • The Team Manager must be based in Quebec and must travel to training camps and national and international competitions.
  • A Team Manager who resigns will be relieved of his duties. The same applies if the Team Manager is inactive.

RESPONSABILITIES

1.The Manager is responsible for supporting the Head Coach in the logistics and management of tasks associated with the development of the Programme au développement du sauvetage sportif au Québec. To this end, he must:

  • Oversee the selection and supervision of assistant managers.
  • Contribute to the strategic and operational management of the program.
  • Manage health and safety, as well as risk and legal liability.
  • Respond to inquiries from coaches, athletes and parents regarding the Quebec Lifesaving Sport Team.
  • Work with the Lifesaving Sport Coordinator and Head Coach to lead the development of the athletes’ competition plan.
  • Oversee the development of athlete surveys related to training camps and competitions. Analyze responses, determine actions to be taken and provide feedback to Lifesaving Coordinator and Head Coach.

2.With the support of the Head Coach, the Team Manager is responsible for assisting, organizing and managing the logistics of Team Quebec training camps. This involves:

  • Working with the Lifesaving Society to identify needs and requirements for training camps, including site selection, schedule planning, participant selection and other logistical requirements.

3.The Team Manager must be present at the Canadian Championships (pool and beach).

4.The Team Manager must attend or designate an Assistant Team Manager to attend various competition opportunities in other provinces or internationally as required.

5.The Manager must attend scheduled Lifesaving Society meetings, as required, and provide updates to the Lifesaving Sport Coordinator. He must prepare reports as required.

6.The Team Manager is responsible for implementing activities assigned by the Lifesaving Sport Coordinator that are consistent with the objectives of his role.
