Lifesaving Instructor
Share your experience and communicate your passion for lifesaving by becoming a Lifesaving Instructor. You will train future lifeguards by teaching them first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the various techniques and skills required in lifesaving.
A Lifesaving Instructor can teach the following awards: Swim Patrol (Rookie, Ranger, Star), Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, along with several other courses.
DURATION
- 32 hours for candidates with current Bronze cross award
OR
- 16 hours for candidates holding current Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor award.
PREREQUISITES
- To be at least 15 years old
- To hold a current Bronze cross award
AWARD VALIDITY
- Valid for 2 years
