Lifesaving Instructor
Share your experience and communicate your passion for lifesaving by becoming a Lifesaving Instructor. You will train future lifeguards by teaching them first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the various techniques and skills required in lifesaving. A Lifesaving Instructor can teach the following awards: Swim Patrol (Rookie, Ranger, Star), Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, Lifesaving Fitness, Distinction, along with several other courses.
Minimum time required
- 28 hours if holding a current National Lifeguard award
- 34 hours if holding a current Bronze Cross award
Prerequisites
- To be at least 16 years old
- To hold a current Bronze Cross award
Award validity
- Valid for 2 years
