Positions, policies and codes
All members are required to comply with the Organization’s positions, policies, codes and by-laws.
Any official position published by the Lifesaving Society must be followed by all individuals holding a Lifesaving Society certification (Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, National Lifeguard, instructor certifications, etc.), as well as by Affiliate Members. These positions come into effect upon publication and apply to all relevant programs, services, and activities.

As part of its mission, the Lifesaving Society is responsible for protecting its members by providing a safe, fair, and trustworthy environment at every level of the organization, whether local, regional, provincial, national, or international.

The Lifesaving Society's Codes of Conduct for members and Leadership program participants are based on core values and outline the standards of behaviour expected of all members. They also reaffirm the Society's commitment to fostering a healthy, respectful, and safe environment that encourages positive and constructive relationships.
