Positions, policies and codes

Any official position published by the Lifesaving Society must be followed by all individuals holding a Lifesaving Society certification (Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, National Lifeguard, instructor certifications, etc.), as well as by Affiliate Members. These positions come into effect upon publication and apply to all relevant programs, services, and activities.

As part of its mission, the Lifesaving Society is responsible for protecting its members by providing a safe, fair, and trustworthy environment at every level of the organization, whether local, regional, provincial, national, or international.

The Lifesaving Society's Codes of Conduct for members and Leadership program participants are based on core values and outline the standards of behaviour expected of all members. They also reaffirm the Society's commitment to fostering a healthy, respectful, and safe environment that encourages positive and constructive relationships.

The Lifesaving Society's regulations establish the principles that govern its governance structure, operations, and expected standards of conduct. These regulations help ensure transparent, fair, and consistent management while supporting the integrity of decision-making processes and the achievement of the organization's mission.
