Recognition of Prior Learning

First Aid Instructor

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows individuals who hold a first aid instructor or instructor trainer certification issued by another organization to have their experience recognized in order to obtain the Lifesaving Society's First Aid Instructor certification.

This process allows eligible individuals to obtain the qualifications needed to teach Lifesaving Society first aid courses and issue the corresponding certifications.

Recognition of Prior Learning Process

The process includes the following steps:
  Complete the Recognition of Prior Learning form to submit existing certifications and relevant experience;
  Have eligibility for Recognition of Prior Learning confirmed;
  Participate in a 4-hour refresher session with a qualified Instructor Trainer;
  Obtain the Lifesaving Society's First Aid Instructor certification upon successful completion of the process.

- Être âgé de 18 ans et plus - Être Moniteur/Instructeur certifié à jour d'une autre organisation donnant des formations de secourisme (Croix-Rouge canadienne, Fondation des maladies du cœur, Ambulance St-Jean)
