    The Lifesaving Society, in partnership with Leger DGTL, is proud to announce the launch of a campaign aimed at promoting and highlight the professions of lifeguard and instructor to the general public and professionals in the field.
  • PATENT PRINTING
    Since the return of the holidays, access to the offices of the Regroupement Loisir et Sport Québec (RSLQ) and the Lifesaving Society has been limited. The Lifesaving Society will continue to process and update all exam files, but no certificate or certificate copy will be mailed.

  • RED-ZONE : UPDATE FOR AQUATIC FACILITIES
    Following the announcement on October 5 by Mrs. Isabelle Charest, Minister of Sports and Recreation, additional measures for Sports are now implemented until October 28 in aquatic settings located in areas that have reached the maximum alert level (red zone).
  • RED-ZONE: TIGHTENED HEALTH MEASURES FOR SPORTS
    Following the announcement by Mrs. Isabelle Charest, Minister of Sports and Recreation, additional measures for Sports will be implemented from October 8 to 28 in aquatic settings located in areas that have reached the maximum alert level (red zone).
  • OFFICE CLOSED ON MONDAYS
    Given the current COVID-19 situation, starting next Monday, September 14, the Lifesaving Society will be focusing on its professional activities Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the months of September and October.
  • IMPORTANT NOTICE : The steady decrease in the Lifesaving Society’s day-to-day operations

    Following the government’s announcement on Monday, Sunday, April 5, 2020, regarding the closure of all businesses that do not manufacture or provide essential services, the Regroupement Loisir et Sport du Québec (RLSQ) and the Lifesaving Society will follow the government's recommendations and will keep their offices closed until May 4, 2020.

  • CORONAVIRUS: A reminder of Hygiene Rules by the Lifesaving Society

    Montreal, March 12, 2020 – Although the international public health has called the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak pandemic, Quebec and the rest of Canada still count few confirmed cases for the moment and the risk of contagion is relatively low. Current epidemiological evidence indicates that person-to-person transmission of COVID-19 seems to be done mostly through contact with respiratory droplets of an infected person. Since infected particles can be found in feces as well, a fecal-oral transmission of coronavirus is also possible1.
