ORDER YOUR INFORMATION KIT FOR THE NDPW 2019

The 26th edition of the National Drowning Prevention Week (NDPW) will be held on July 21 to 27, 2019, and it is the perfect opportunity for the Lifesaving Society to remind to the population the importance of safe behaviours in aquatic environment. Each year, about 500 Canadians drown after a water-related incident, which makes drowning the third more important cause of unintentional death among Canadians under 60 years old. Even a single drowning is one too many, and most of the time, it was preventable. This is why the Lifesaving Society wishes to bring together all players to mobilize and educate about drowning. So, during the swimming favourable summer period, we call on you to become an NDPW ambassador by filling out the form under the SNPN tab on the Lifesaving Society Website. The Lifesaving Society supports NDPW ambassadors by providing a kit of information and promotional materials essential for drowning prevention and public awareness.
