Accountability Report

Control and accountability

In accordance with the guidelines outlined in the Financial Assistance Program for the Free Training of Lifeguards and Aquatic Instructors Manual, Chapter 6:

Any funding request from this program may be subject to verification by the Ministry or any other entity or person acting under the powers granted to them or the tasks delegated to them by the Minister.

The Minister reserves the right to:

  • Require the presentation of supporting documents for eligible expenses under the program;
  • Request the beneficiary to repay funds that were not used in accordance with the original purpose of their allocation;
  • Terminate the agreement for any of the following reasons:
    • Failure by the beneficiary to comply with the terms or obligations stipulated in the agreement;
    • Cessation of activity by the beneficiary for any reason, including in the event of bankruptcy, liquidation, or transfer of ownership;
    • Submission of false or misleading information by the beneficiary.

The accountability report must include:

  • The name and contact information of the beneficiary;
  • The number of training sessions conducted during the year, categorized by type;
  • The number of participants in each training session;
  • The age distribution of the participants;
  • The gender of the participants;
  • The region where the training sessions took place;
  • The number of training sessions per quarter;
  • A financial report detailing the use of funds allocated to the project.

The Lifesaving Society, designated by the Ministry of Education, is responsible for overseeing the accountability process under this funding program. To this end, the Gestio plateform has been created to facilitate the submission of necessary documents in a secure environment.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This platform is not a replacement for the member dashboard, which remains the tool to use for submitting exam results at the end of training sessions. It is essential to continue using your Dashboard for issuing certificates to candidates.

We encourage you to watch these three tutorials to guide you (in french only):
