Supervision of Aquatic Activities for Groups of Children
SUPERVISION OF AQUATIC ACTIVITIES
The goal of the Safe Supervision of Children's Groups in Aquatic Environments training is to better equip parents, lifeguards, day camp leaders, aquatic managers, and other stakeholders to understand their roles and responsibilities during aquatic outings, ensuring that their activities are safe and enjoyable. All activities and information provided are based on the Supervision of Aquatic Activities for Groups of Children Guide. Additionally, the training is available in two formats: asynchronous or workshop-conference.
ASYCHRONOUS TRAINING
The asynchronous training takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. There are seven modules and several questions throughout the training, but there is no exam; rather, it is a continuous assessment. Payment for the training is accepted by credit card only. The price of a code (one per participant) is determined by the number of participants.
- For 1 to 9 codes: $44.25
- For 10 to 29 codes: $24.50
- For 30 to 99 codes: $19.50
- For 100 codes and more: $16.75
Here’s the procedure to follow:
- Contact us to purchase the desired number of codes (one per participant) at alerte@sauvetage.qc.ca.
- Once the payment is processed, the codes will be sent to you by email. To register for the training, a participant must use this link and have their access code: https://sortieaquatique.eformation.ca/inscription/
- After registering, here’s the link to log in to the training: https://sortieaquatique.eformation.ca/login/index.php
To properly complete the asynchronous training, a participant must:

- Complete each module by selecting all images and icons
- Follow the training on a computer, not on a mobile phone or tablet
- If a message on the screen says, "Sorry, this activity is currently hidden," this error message appears when a participant has not completed a module and tries to skip to the next one.
WORKSHOP
The workshop is between 1.5 and 2 hours long. There are several activities and scenarios that give participants the opportunity to share their past experiences with a certified instructor. The course costs $750, regardless of the number of participants, and is payable by credit card only. The workshop is divided into 5 sections:
