FIRST AID - DAY CAMP
Do you work at a day camp? Would you like to gain basic first aid knowledge to quickly respond to emergency situations in this context?
With this training, you’ll learn to recognize abnormal signs and symptoms in the children you work with and apply the necessary emergency measures. Additionally, the course includes a section on safely supervising groups of children in aquatic environments—a great asset for camps that visit aquatic facilities.
Over two four-hour sessions, you will learn to identify injuries, provide basic treatments to stabilize a child’s injury, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED). You will also be trained in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on children and adults, as well as in responding appropriately to respiratory emergencies or cardiac arrest.
