The Day I Couldn't Dive - A Book by Sylvie BernierThe official launch of the book The Day I Couldn't Dive will take place on Monday, April 8. In this heartfelt account, Olympic champion Sylvie Bernier shares the story of how she helplessly witnessed the drowning of her nephew, Raphaël, during a family canoe trip on the Nouvelle River in Gaspésie. A documentary recounting this tragic story, in which the Lifesaving Society played an active role, will air on Radio-Canada on Saturday, April 13, at 10:30 p.m.
