Head Lifeguard Course

The role of the Head Lifeguard is essential for evaluating the effectiveness of lifeguards. This is an indispensable individual who has the ability to establish, with their team of lifeguards, monitoring strategies to ensure quick and relevant interventions, as well as prevent potential accidents.

This course (in french only) focuses on discussions, group exchanges, and practical scenarios. It will allow lifeguards who wish to be promoted to Head Lifeguard to acquire the following skills:

  • Organize emergency measures and develop an emergency plan;
  • Organize the safe supervision of children in aquatic environments;
  • Supervise and lead staff during critical situations;
  • Plan and organize lifeguard training sessions;
  • Exercise leadership with team members;
  • Intervene appropriately with their team.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR:

Lifeguards aged 17 and over with at least 2 years of experience or those on their way to obtaining an aquatic supervision position.

5 hours

PREREQUISITES:

Current National Lifeguard Certification
