Bathing areas: publication of two new explanatory guides

The Government of Québec is proud to announce the publication of two explanatory guides on the new chapitre IX, Lieux de baignade, du Code de sécurité, of the Safety Code and on the new edition of chapitre X, Lieux de baignade, du Code de construction, of the Construction Code. Produced in collaboration with the Lifesaving Society, these guides are available on the site Web du gouvernement.

These guides provide explanations and clarifications regarding the regulatory requirements set out in the chapters in order to facilitate their application. They also include several illustrations intended to clarify the requirements, as well as examples and practical scenarios.

 

Safety Code

The explanatory guide for chapitre IX, Lieux de baignade, du Code de sécurité, presents this new chapter of the Safety Code. It is intended for owners and operators of bathing areas, as well as for anyone concerned with aquatic safety, including citizens who use bathing areas.

Construction Code

The explanatory guide for chapitre X, Lieux de baignade, du Code de construction, presents the new edition of this chapter of the Construction Code. It is intended for designers, contractors, owners, and operators of bathing areas, as well as for anyone concerned with aquatic safety, including citizens who use bathing areas.
