The Lifesaving Society is currently looking to fill a Program Coordinator position, and you could be the ideal candidate!

The challenges ahead:
Under the supervision of the Director of Programs and Business Development, the Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating programs and services related to boating activities, aquatic safety and lifesaving in natural environments.
The person in this role ensures the delivery of high-quality, safe services adapted to the needs of professionals while developing and maintaining positive relationships with our members and partners.
Responsibilities include:
- Participating in the design, updating, organization and promotion of lifesaving and aquatic safety training programs
- Supporting organizations in the implementation of our programs and ensuring compliance with current standards
- Advising and supporting our members, the education sector and partner organizations in developing and maintaining an adapted and personalized experience
- Providing technical and educational support to team members
- Participating in the recruitment of experts and volunteers, as well as the training and coordination of working groups responsible for updating and developing programs
- Contributing to the development of strategies and implementing actions aimed at increasing the number of participants across all regions of Québec
You will also be expected to listen carefully, identify solutions to issues, and act as a liaison between staff and members of the Lifesaving Society.
What you need for this opportunity:
- Significant experience in program coordination or in aquatic or boating environments
- Knowledge of natural environments (beaches, rivers, lakes), associated risks and safe practices
- Leadership, rigor, and the ability to work under pressure and collaborate across disciplines
- Autonomy and excellent communication skills
- A bachelor’s degree in a field related to the position
- At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience
- Strong teamwork skills
- Good communication abilities
- Fluency in French, both spoken and written, and the ability to communicate in English
- Good knowledge of computer tools

We offer a salary ranging from $30.64 to $38.27 per hour, plus fringe benefits.
