OPENING OF NOMINATIONS - 2025 AWARDS YEAR

The Lifesaving Society is proud to announce the upcoming opening of the nomination period for the 2025 Corporate Merit Awards, which recognize the outstanding commitment of individuals and organizations contributing to the development of lifesaving and aquatic safety.

The Corporate Merit Awards aim to acknowledge members whose involvement, leadership, and contributions have made a significant impact in the lifesaving community over the past year. Eligible members are grouped into seven main categories: lifeguards, instructors, volunteers, mentors, administrators, examiners, and affiliated members.

The awards will be presented at the Annual General Meeting of the Lifesaving Society, to be held on April 24, 2026.

Merit Award Categories

  • Lifeguard of the Year

  • Instructor of the Year

  • Volunteer of the Year

  • Mentor of the Year

  • Administrator of the Year

  • Examiner of the Year

  • Affiliated Member of the Year, in one of the following streams:

    • Lifesaving Program

    • First Aid Program

    • Swim for Life Program

Each category includes specific criteria designed to highlight the quality of engagement, promotion of the Society’s objectives, innovation, professionalism, and contribution to the outreach and impact of the programs.

Nomination Period

The nomination period will run from February 2 to March 1, 2026.

Members are invited to review the specific requirements of each category and submit nominations for individuals or organizations that stood out through their involvement and significant contribution to the lifesaving field in 2025. Once identified, members must complete the nomination form.

The Corporate Merit Awards will be presented at the Annual Members’ Meeting on April 24, 2026.
