Aquatic Safety Inspector

As you know better than anyone, managing an aquatic facility requires ensuring that the premises are safe at all times. A weekly inspection of the aquatic facility is therefore essential to demonstrate due diligence in protecting the safety of bathers and workers, and to prevent incidents and their unfortunate consequences.

As an aquatic manager, the most effective way to achieve this is by training the staff responsible for inspecting the facility’s equipment. On a regular basis, they will be able to provide you with an assessment of your facility’s safety and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Participants in this course will learn to:

  • identify best practices in the safe management of an aquatic facility;
  • inspect an aquatic facility—including wading pools, spas, and pool-related areas—using the Lifesaving Society checklists;
  • apply the Regulation respecting safety in public baths (B-1.1, r. 11);
  • identify risks and non-compliant aspects of an aquatic facility.

Following a theoretical exam and practical evaluations, successful candidates receive the official Aquatic Safety Inspector certification from the Lifesaving Society.
