Maintaining pool water quality requires handling a wide range of chemical products that often present underestimated risks.
This course is an essential tool for anyone who handles—or may be required to handle—hazardous materials as part of their job. Through this training, you will be able to:
- understand the regulations displayed on hazardous product labels (product categories, symbols, WHMIS labels, supplier labels, and workplace labels);
- know where and how to store each product properly and safely;
- administer appropriate first aid in the event of contact with a hazardous material;
- prevent accidents related to the release of toxic gases or vapours;
- recognize incompatible maintenance products.

PREREQUISITES: None
DID YOU KNOW? : Section 62.5 of the Act respecting occupational health and safety requires that any employee who uses hazardous materials receive training on how to properly use these products in their workplace.
