CHALLENGE YOURSELF!

The DÉFIE TON SAUVETEUR campaign is back!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Organize a team of up to 10 people and register on the SPORTSQUÉBEC platform. You can also take on the challenges alone if you feel like it, by registering individually.

WHY JOIN OUR CAMPAIGN?

In these difficult times, the Lifesaving Society wants to support its lifeguards.

The situation created by COVID-19 could have a significant impact on the performance of lifeguards’ duties by changing the way they interact with the public.

The money raised will be used to support our lifeguards so that they can continue to perform their duties under the best possible conditions as well as to ensure that they have access to the training and support they need to keep their certification up to date while adapting to new ways of doing things.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH THE ANNUAL GENARAL ASSEMBLY?

Due to the current pandemic, the Lifesaving Society - Quebec Division’s Board of Directors would like to inform you that the Annual Assembly (formerly the AGA) has been postponed indefinitely for the time being.  As soon as we are able to confirm a date for the Annual Assembly, you will be informed

In the meantime, please note that the Board of Directors currently in office will remain so, with their tenure unchanged until the next election. For any additional information, please send your comments to the Board's General Secretary, Mr. Pierre Tabah via alerte@sauvetage.qc.ca

AND WITH THIS YEAR'S ANNUAL FORUM?

Despite the current COVID-19 pandemic context, the Lifesaving Society will hold its annual forum. As we do every year, we wanted to offer you the opportunity to meet, exchange and learn from one lifesaving enthusiast to another. Of course, the format of the 2020 Annual Forum will be different from previous years due to the social distancing measures that will be in place to ensure the health and safety of all. We are currently studying every possible avenue in order to give everyone access to continuing education over the entire weekend, and volunteers are already hard at work preparing some great workshops. More information on registration and workshops will be posted in the coming weeks on our website www.sauvetage.qc.ca in the Annual Forum section.

CITATIONS EN SAUVETAGE

Have you witnessed or been involved in a lifesaving, CPR or major response situation? We are counting on you to fill out the online lifesaving award form so that these acts of bravery can be recognized.

IS THE NDPW GOING TO TAKE PLACE?

National Drowning Prevention Week will take place from July 19th to 25th, to collectively raise awareness in our communities about the safe behaviours to foster in order to have enjoyable aquatic experiences. Lifeguards, parents, friends, bathers and managers, the Lifesaving Society invites you to become an ambassador for the NDPW.

This year, we had to take a slightly different approach in order to adapt to the current situation. Currently, we are going through a period of unprecedented uncertainty as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is in this context that the Lifesaving Society has decided to make its NDPW kit available digitally. All registered National Drowning Prevention Week Ambassadors will be sent a link to download the promotional tool kit. We are working to adjust to the situation and find the best ways to actively seek your participation. All the information necessary for your commitment as an ambassador will be provided to you in the coming weeks.
