Emergency First Aid IRS
You work in a sport or recreational environment as a coach or a referee, or volunteer for a sports team? You must then be well-aware that incidents can quickly arise and know how important it is to promptly react in such emergency situations.
The Lifesaving Society is the only organization that offers this comprehensive course, which has been developed in collaboration with the Conseil de médecine du sport du Québec. With this 8-hour training, you will quickly recognize abnormal signs and symptoms that can occur during sports and recreational activities, such as signs of a concussion. You will therefore be able to apply the necessary emergency measures and determine when the injured player is ready for a comeback.
Moreover, you willlearn how to provide basic treatments to immobilize an injury, how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) and how to administer epinephrin with an auto-injector. This course will also teach you how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on an adult and on a child, and how to react in case of a respiratory emergency or a cardiac arrest.
This course can be adapted according to the type of sport or recreational environment in which the participants work.
