Head of Waterfront - Brome Lake Boating Club

The Brome Lake Boating Club is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Head of Waterfront. As the Head of Waterfront, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the club's waterfront operations, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of club members and guests. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Waterfront Operations Management:

- Oversee all aspects of the club's waterfront operations, and beach activities.

- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the waterfront.

 - Manage the scheduling of staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak times and special events. - Monitor weather conditions and make decisions regarding water activities based on safety guidelines.

2. Customer Service:

- Provide exceptional customer service to club members and guests, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience at the waterfront.

- Address any member or guest concerns or complaints promptly and effectively, striving to exceed their expectations.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with club members, fostering a sense of community and loyalty.

3. Staff Supervision and Training:

- Train, and supervise a team of waterfront staff, including all lifeguards.

- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff members.

- Organize and facilitate regular training sessions to ensure staff members are knowledgeable about safety procedures and customer service standards.

4. Safety and Risk Management:

- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure the well-being of all individuals using the waterfront facilities.

- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment, docks, and beach areas, identifying and addressing any potential hazards.

- Stay up-to-date with local regulations and industry best practices related to waterfront safety and make necessary adjustments to club policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications: .

- National Lifesaving Certification (pool and/or waterfront).

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a similar waterfront or boating club environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with club members, guests, and staff members.

- Proven leadership and team management abilities.

- Ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations and adapt to changing circumstances.
