Éric Hervieux, Board Member

An experienced leader and business manager, Éric brings extensive expertise in aquatic operations, organizational development, and collaborative leadership. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, he is recognized for his ability to build strong relationships, foster teamwork, and unite stakeholders around a clear and shared vision.

Éric’s career in the aquatic sector spans a wide range of roles. He has worked as a pool and waterfront lifeguard, served as a National Lifeguard Instructor, and contributed to the revision of several advanced training resources. From 2004 to 2023, he held aquatic management positions, playing a key role in the development and enhancement of aquatic services and programs. Active at the national level for many years, Éric has been deeply involved with the National Safety Standards Commission, serving as its Chair from 2020 to 2024. Under his leadership, the commission received the Lifesaving Society Canada President’s Award in 2020 in recognition of its significant contribution to developing essential tools that supported the safe continuation and reopening of aquatic activities during the pandemic.

A dedicated volunteer, Éric is also known for his involvement in the Vision concertée de l’univers aquatique, a collaborative initiative that brings together Quebec’s aquatic sport federations. His commitment to advancing the aquatic and recreation sectors led him to serve as President of both the Association des responsables aquatiques du Québec (ARAQ) and the Alliance québécoise du loisir public from 2022 to 2024.
