Recognition of Prior Learning
The Lifesaving Society offers a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process that allows experienced officials to have the skills they have acquired through their involvement in lifesaving sport formally recognized.
This process is intended for officials who:
Have completed the Level 1 and Level 2 Official courses;
Have several years of experience as an official;
Regularly participate in regional, provincial or national competitions.
New officials must complete the Level 1 and Level 2 Official courses to obtain their certification. The RPL process does not replace the initial training pathway.
Recognition of Prior Learning applications are assessed based on the applicant’s skills, experience and supporting documentation.
