Our Services

Safety Audit for Aquatic Facilities

The Lifesaving Society’s aquatic safety audit service helps swimming area owners and operators take a proactive approach to reducing the risk of drowning and aquatic incidents. Following a visit to your swimming area, our experts will prepare a report designed to optimize the operation and safety of the facility for both the people who use it and the aquatic staff who work there.

Waterfront Development

Our services are designed to support operators in the development of public waterfronts. Guidance may cover the following areas:

Physical characteristics of the site (boundaries, signage and swimming areas);
Development of additional swimming area features (inflatable aquatic courses, open-water swimming lanes and pools located in natural bodies of water);
Water quality (hygiene requirements and maintenance).

Bathing Area Accreditation

To recognize aquatic facilities that have achieved the highest standards in aquatic safety and risk management, facilities can obtain accreditation. Recognized as a mark of excellence in the industry, the program involves successfully completing the accreditation process over a period of 12 to 24 months.

Pool Design and Modernization

The construction and safety of bathing areas are subject to complex and stringent regulations, requiring a comprehensive approach to design and management, particularly with respect to aquatic safety and optimal operations. The Lifesaving Society provides support services for the design, development and modernization of aquatic facilities.

Consultation Services

Recognized for its expertise in lifesaving and aquatic supervision, the Lifesaving Society provides consultation services to the aquatic industry and government on a variety of safety-related matters. Whether the need involves bathing area regulations or identifying appropriate solutions, our team is available to provide guidance and support.

Aquatic LAB

To support Swim for Life instructors, the Lifesaving Society offers in-person workshops led by our coordination team. Focusing on three key topics (support techniques and equipment use, communication and class management, and exercises for beginner adult and teen swimmers) these workshops provide opportunities for instructors to continue developing their skills.
