ZACCARIA – Member

In Montreal, Zaccaria first worked at the front desk of an aquatic complex. Driven by a strong desire to become a lifeguard, he took an unconventional path and taught himself how to swim. Through public swim sessions, instructional videos and Lifesaving Society resources, he quickly developed his skills and successfully earned his National Lifeguard certification. His journey reflects his determination, discipline and ability to take on challenges.

He is currently in the second year of a bachelor’s degree in urban planning.

His favourite lifesaving technique is the team-based removal of a victim from the water. He particularly appreciates this aspect of lifesaving for the communication and coordination it requires, two essential elements of an effective rescue.

Zaccaria also has a unique talent: imitating commercial voice-overs and public announcements.
