Originally from Montreal, Léo chose to pursue lifesaving after reaching an important turning point in his aquatic journey. Given the choice between continuing in swimming, moving into competition or beginning the Bronze levels, he chose the latter.
Léo is currently in the second year of his bachelor’s degree in law, a program that reflects his interest in rigour, analysis and critical thinking.
His favourite lifesaving technique is the recovery of a submerged victim. He particularly appreciates this rescue for the precision it requires, especially when performing the sequence of manoeuvres involved in airway management.
Léo also practises combat sports, which allow him to develop both his physical abilities and strategic thinking skills.
