Virtual Meetups!

The Lifesaving Society is proud to announce the launch of its monthly virtual meetups throughout 2025. These sessions are designed to inform, engage, and strengthen our connections with affiliated members, lifeguards, instructors, and the general public. Each meetup will provide a unique opportunity to learn and share on various topics related to aquatic safety. At the start of each session, we will introduce the topic of the month, followed by an open Q&A period to address your personal questions and everyday challenges.

Who Can Join?

These meetups are open to everyone: affiliated members, lifeguards, instructors, volunteers, and anyone interested in aquatic safety. Our goal is to promote a better understanding of safe practices, encourage ongoing education, and ensure open dialogue with everyone involved in drowning prevention and risk awareness.

How to Participate?

Each meetup will take place online via a video conferencing platform. Pre-registration is required to receive the connection details. Registered participants will be able to interact live with our experts, ask questions, and share their experiences.

A Diverse and Inclusive Calendar

To meet the needs and interests of all participants, we’ve designed a calendar covering a wide range of topics, from technical discussions to general information. Each month, a specific theme will address current issues and evolving trends in aquatic safety.

Kick-Off Meetups: Affiliation Renewal

To facilitate the renewal of affiliations, we are launching our virtual meetups this month. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about the renewal process, new policies and procedures, updates on insurance, and exclusive benefits for affiliated members.

MAY

Topic: Evaluation and results during swimming lessons

Description: Assessing all the items in each level is essential for mastering aquatic skills. However, sometimes a swimmer is unable to meet these standards and must re-enroll in the same course. To allow the child to continue their aquatic progress, the parent must understand the evaluation criteria (the ''TO SEE'' points).

During this virtual meeting, we will explore how to help the swimmer and parent understand the assessment results.

Audience: Swim Instructors and Trainers, Affiliate members
Date: May 11, 2026, at 7:00 PM

To attend the May 11 session: Register
