Members
The Lifesaving Society has five (5) membership categories:
A Certified Member is any individual who holds a certification or qualification recognized and issued by the Lifesaving Society, and whose status is active and meets the requirements established by the Society.
An Affiliate Member is any legal entity, organization, municipality, institution, association or other entity that joins the Lifesaving Society to offer, support or participate in its programs, training, activities or services, in accordance with the affiliation requirements established by the Society.
A Lifesaving Sport Member is any individual who participates in lifesaving sport activities recognized or sanctioned by the Lifesaving Society, including as an athlete, coach, official or in any other role recognized by the Society.
A Partner Member is any individual, legal entity, organization or other entity that collaborates with the Lifesaving Society or contributes to fulfilling its mission through an agreement, partnership or other form of collaboration recognized by the Society.
A Friend Member is any individual or legal entity that wishes to support the Lifesaving Society’s mission, values or activities and meets the requirements established by the Society for this membership category.
All members must, at all times, comply with the Organization’s letters patent, general by-laws, positions, policies and codes in order to maintain their membership status.
Depending on the circumstances and subject to the conditions applicable to each membership category, a person may belong to more than one membership category within the Organization.
Members are also classified as either voting members or non-voting members, in accordance with the provisions of these General By-laws.
The Lifesaving Society regularly communicates with its members to share the latest news, updates and relevant information. These communications are distributed primarily through electronic newsletters and other communication channels.
Make sure you are subscribed to the newsletters corresponding to your membership category to stay informed about news, changes and information relevant to you.
Important: Upon joining any membership category, you are automatically added to the mailing lists for communications relevant to your profile. If you no longer wish to receive communications from the Lifesaving Society, you may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link provided at the bottom of each newsletter.
